I prepared a proposal for a community project in my hometown of Waterloo, ON to create a dragon boat club at a local conservation area. My proposal was professional and preceded by an effective transmittal letter. In real life, the layout would be improved by the removal of the mandatory APA format.

Spoken

I have attached a video of me demonstrating a safety briefing. It was a staged talk for field work which made the dialogue rigid yet still displayed my clear and effective delivery. The process is a key risk management responsibility of a guide so practicing this critical step supported my learning.

Digital

I designed a PowerPoint to summarize a trip I was about to take to Costa Rica for a class in Rain-forest and Tropical Science. It demonstrates my proficiency with digital software as it includes special effects, audio, a linked table of contents and a video link. This website is also an example of my digital abilities.
